LONDON, England - University of Colorado assistant track & field coach Casey Malone placed took fourth overall at the Aviva London Grand Prix, part of the IAAF Samsung Diamond League, on Saturday.

Malone launched his best throw of 213 feet, 9 inches with his second throw of the meet; it was good for third place at that point. He dropped down to fourth place, where he would stay, when Lithuania's Virgilijus Alekna recorded a toss of 214-04.  Estonia's Gerd Kanter won the meet with a throw of 222-06. 

The Wheat Ridge, Colo. native started the meet with a toss of 204-02. Malone scratched his third throw and ended with a mark of 200-10 (there were only four attempts at this meet).
